[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] And so to the £32 version! We are in a different formulation league with Dior Lip Glow compared to Catrice Melt & Shine. Dior 8 is a complementary shade to the iconic 999 colour known as the Dior Red. This red carries a brickish element – maybe we could say a pared back red – which is ideal for anyone who can’t take a full-on scarlet, especially in this wash-of-colour format.

Dior 8

Dior are proud of their 97% natural origin ingredient list that includes shea, sunflower and rice wax with cherry oil, which has a similar composition to that of our natural lip lipids so that’s why it feels so comfortable. I mean, as soon as it’s on the lips, it feels like it is supposed to be there. I featured the Strawberry shade which is more pink in tone, last week so I’m happy to have another shade of Lip Glow because they’re so easy to wear.

Dior 8

This red has some visceral elements to it I think – there used to be a make up brand (maybe there still is), and I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it, that took inspiration from colours found on/in the body whether it be blood, bruises, dark circles etc, and to me Dior 8 would fall into that category. Oh, I’ve remembered – Ellis Faas.

And here’s how it looks. The sheen is good, comfort level is high and colour, with my self tan, looks great. If you’re red-shy, this would be a good colour for you because is so transparent. You can find Dior 8 at Escentual for £32 HERE.
