[unpaid/purchase] German brand Catrice opened its doors in 2004 with the aim of providing affordable make-up without skimping on quality. It’s in limited distribution here but not unavailable if you like the look of it. I bought a couple of items a few weeks ago – this blush ‘n brush is £5 which seems very reasonable to me.

Catrice Blush & Illuminate Stick Review

This is from their Seeking Flowers collection which is very pretty and includes a flower embossed eye-shadow palette. As you can see, there’s a blending brush at the other end of the blush stick which works well and is very handy if you’re a brush loser like me.

Catrice Blush & Illuminate Stick Review

There are two shades – a coral and a pink. The blush product works perfectly well – easily blendable and a well pigmented shade – but the shade I have (S-peachless) is quite a basic colour without any particular nuance to it. I didn’t notice it to be particularly illuminating but I’m at the start of the stick and the marbling starts a bit later into the stick so perhaps it will emerge more obviously.

Catrice Blush & Illuminate Stick Review

The shade is fresh looking and gives cheeks a pretty pop of colour. The last (on me) was okay too and honestly, for £5, I’m pleased with it. You can find the Catrice Blush & Illuminate Stick at Notino HERE.
