Suspect in fatal bar shooting in St. Johns neighborhood arrested

A suspect, Harold "Bob" Dulaney, has been arrested in the Feb. 5 fatal shooting of Charles Hassel.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police have arrested the suspect in a February fatal shooting at a bar in the St. Johns neighborhood.

On Friday, the U.S. Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force found and arrested Harold “Bob” Dulaney in Portland, according to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB). The 53-year-old was transported to a hospital due to "pre-existing medical conditions."

Dulaney is currently in police custody and will be booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center after his discharge from the hospital.

Police were searching for Harold “Bob” Dulaney, 53, as a suspect in a fatal shooting at a bar in the St. Johns neighborhood.

On Feb. 5, around 9:39 p.m., detectives responded to reports of a shooting at bar on North Lombard Street, between Baltimore and North Alta avenues. When they arrived, they found 57-year-old Charles Hassel dead from a gunshot wound.

Hassel's family has been notified of the arrest, PPB said. Police have not provided any information about what led up to the shooting.
