IA corn and soybean planting ahead of avg.

Corn and soybean planting remains ahead of average in Iowa, despite the multiple rounds of storms over the last week.

USDA says 13% of the corn is planted and 8% of the soybeans are planted. 78% of the oat crop has been planted and 34% of the oat crop has emerged.

Pastures and hay ground are greening up due to the much-needed rains. USDA says there are no reports of cattle turned out to pasture yet.
