Endowment established to support ag education at Vincennes University

A historic donation will strengthen faculty support and foster agricultural innovation at Vincennes University in Indiana.

The donation from Ro and Charles Whittington of Columbus, IN, will create the Whittington Endowed Faculty Fund to address critical challenges in talent recruitment and retention within highly competitive fields of study, specifically agriculture.  Initially, the funds will support faculty positions at the College of Technology and College of Business and Public Service.

VU Provost Dr. Laura Treanor says the university’s commitment to agricultural education underscores its role as a leader in addressing the evolving needs of the agriculture sector.

Vincennes was Indiana’s first college and is state-supported, with multiple campus sites throughout the state.
