Little change ahead, temps to fluctuate, pattern to remain wet & active across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures in much of the eastern and western U.S., while warmer-than-normal weather will be limited to the Plains, upper Midwest, southern Florida, and northern Maine.

Meanwhile, below-normal precipitation in the mid-South, mid-Atlantic, lower Great Lakes region, and Ohio and Tennessee Valleys should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions in northern New England, the Gulf Coast region, and most areas west of a line from the western tip of Texas to northeastern Minnesota.
