Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Write engaging, informative blog posts about a variety of candy-related topics. Ensure content is in line with CandyStore.com's voice and meets the interest of our diverse audience.
- Research & Development: Stay ahead of candy trends, history, and culture to generate fresh and compelling content ideas. Propose adjustments to existing outlines when necessary to improve reader engagement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our content team to ensure all articles align with SEO best practices and brand strategy. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
- Editing & Optimization: Utilize Google Docs for all writing and edits, adhering to the "Suggest" function for revisions. Ensure content is easy to read, using the Hemingway App and Grammarly for clarity and grammar checks.
- SEO Compliance: Follow our SEO checklist to optimize articles for search engines, including keyword density, inbound and outbound linking, and ensuring content meets the technical SEO requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience & Skill: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a portfolio showcasing your work. Experience in SEO and familiarity with content management systems like WordPress.
- Knowledge & Passion: A genuine interest in candy, its culture, and history. Ability to produce content that appeals to our target audience, blending educational and entertaining elements seamlessly.
