East Lansing woman competes on 'Jeopardy'

EAST LANSING – East Lansing resident Elizabeth Webster competed on the TV quiz show "Jeopardy" tonight, finishing second.

Webster, who won a $2,000 consolation prize, works as an English as a second language teacher at Michigan State University's English Language Center, which works primarily with international students.

Her biography on the center's website says she was born in Colorado and earned her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Denver and her master's degree from the School for International Training.

She has taught English in South Africa and Tokyo.

"Jeopardy" airs on local NBC affiliate WILX-TV.
