Two men sought in shooting near Lansing gas station

LANSING – Police are searching for two men in connection to the Saturday shooting of a man near a gas station in the 3400 block of South Waverly Road.

Police found the shooting victim, a 25-year-old Lansing man, around 5:30 p.m. inside the gas station store with gunshot wounds in his stomach and an arm, they said in a press release today. He is in stable condition at a local hospital.

Police are seeking a 20-year-old man and a second man in connection to the shooting. They did not have an age for the second male.

The shooting victim was waiting for someone in his car in the area of Woodbridge and Roscommon drives when he was approached by two males with handguns, police said. The gunmen demanded cash and drugs.

The shooting victim attempted to drive away when one of the gunmen shot him. The shooting victim drove his car to the nearby gas station and called police.

Police said the shooting was not a random act. They continue to investigate.
