Milk futures, cash dairy mostly higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were higher Wednesday supported by continued strong cash markets and a weaker dollar.

June Class III milk up six cents at $15.30. July 24 cents higher at $16.53. August up 20 cents at $17.37. September 32 cents higher at $18.19. October through December contracts four to 27 cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.2750.

Blocks up $0.0625 at $1.5225. Six sales were made from $1.4675 to $1.55.

Barrels up $0.0850 at $1.6525. Five trades were made from $1.5925 to $1.6525.

Butter down $0.0175 at $2.36. Fifteen trades were made from $2.3575 to $2.3750.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0025 at $1.1625. Seven sales were made from $1.1625 to $1.1675.
