Drought conditions show in MO crop report

The dry conditions across Missouri continue to show up in the crop condition ratings in USDA’s latest Crop Progress and Conditions report.

USDA says Missouri’s pasture conditions are rated 20% good to excellent with hay supplies at 38% adequate, both declining from the previous week.

Corn conditions are rated 46% good to excellent, also a decline from the previous week. Soybean conditions have declined slightly at 48% good to excellent as planting nears the finish line.

Cotton and rice conditions are at 69% and 60% good to excellent, respectively.

Winter wheat harvest has just started in Missouri and was an exception to other crop conditions, improving slightly compared to the previous week, now at 57% good to excellent.
