4 men tried to lure girl into vehicle in Franklin County, police say

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a report that four men tried to lure a child into a vehicle in Franklin County last month.

A 9-year-old girl told police she was on Mower Road, east of Chambersburg in Guilford Township, around 2 p.m. April 23 when a car approached and the occupants attempted to get her into the vehicle, according to a police report released May 6. The report did not provide any other details about how the incident happened.

Police said there might have been four men in the vehicle. One was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The vehicle had a Pennsylvania license plate and might have been a Nissan sedan. It had a cracked passenger-side mirror, police said.
