State police identify 24-year-old woman who died in Franklin County crash

Pennsylvania State Police have identified the woman who was killed Friday in a crash that left several others injured in Franklin County.

Claudia K. Flores-Garcia, 24, of Chambersburg, died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash on U.S. 30 at the ramp to southbound Interstate 81 in Chambersburg, according to Trooper Megan Frazer, the public information officer for Troop H.

Authorities closed U.S. 30 between Stouffer Avenue and Falling Spring Road to investigate the crash just after 10 p.m.

Flores-Garcia was a backseat passenger in a westbound Toyota Camry that turned left toward the ramp and into the path of an eastbound Dodge Ram 1500, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The impact caused Flores-Garcia to be ejected from the car. The truck rolled several times.

The driver and three other passengers from the Toyota and the driver and two passengers from the Dodge were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Frazer said several remain hospitalized.
