U.S. ethanol exports down 12% on month

U.S. ethanol exports fell from January to February.

The Renewable Fuels Association says exports of 104 million gallons were 12% lower than the previous month, with Canada taking the top slot for the 23^rd month in a row. The other leading markets were South Korea, the United Kingdom, Jamaica, and the European Union. The RFA says exports to Brazil were minimal following the reimposition of a 16% import tariff on U.S. ethanol.

Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 764494 tons, a 1% month-to-month decline. Mexico was the main destination for U.S. DDGS exports for the eighth consecutive month followed by South Korea and Thailand.

The RFA says there were no meaningful U.S. imports of ethanol during February.

March ethanol and DDGS export data will be out in early May.
