Milk futures, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange saw mixed activity at midweek while most cash markets were lower.

April Class III milk down two cents at $19.50. May eight cents lower at $18.50. June up 12 cents at $18.47. July 17 cents higher at $18.93. August through October contracts six to 14 cents higher.

Dry whey down $0.0025 at $0.4425.

Blocks down $0.0975 at $1.9350.

Barrels down $0.0450 at $1.9050. One trade was made at that price.

Butter up $0.0275 at $2.3975. Six sales were made from $2.39 to $2.4050.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0025 at $1.1475. Two trades were at $1.11450.
