Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A storm system near the northern Pacific Coast will drift southward through mid-week before veering inland across southern California and the Southwest.  Storm-related impacts in California should include valley rain, high-elevation snow, and gusty winds.  Heavy snow will also blanket the southern Cascades and higher elevations of the Great Basin and Intermountain West.  During the second half of the week, the storm system will cross the central Plains and upper Midwest.  A late-season snow event will unfold on March 31 – April 1 from Nebraska and South Dakota into the upper Great Lakes region.  Farther south, a severe-weather outbreak should peak late Friday into early Saturday across the northern Mississippi Delta and environs.  Elsewhere, windy, dry weather will maintain an elevated wildfire threat for the next several days on the drought-stricken southern High Plains.
