CME milk futures mixed & cash dairy mostly down Wednesday

Milk futures were higher in the near term and cash dairy prices were lower except for cheese blocks Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April Class III milk was up $0.37 at $19.36.  May was up $0.23 at $18.67.  June was up $0.10 at $18.60.  July was down $0.12 at $18.83.  August through February contracts ranged from unchanged in February to fourteen cents lower in November.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.4475.  One sale was recorded at $0.42.

Cheese blocks were up $0.03 at $2.0150.  Five sales were recorded from $1.98 to $2.0150.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0125 at $1.94.  Ten sales were recorded from $1.93 to $1.94.

Butter was down $0.0225 at $2.3825.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.15.  Two sales were recorded at that price.
