CME milk, cash dairy down Monday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were lower except for butter Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. That’s the exact opposite of Friday’s market, where everything was up except butter.

April Class III milk was down $0.15 at $19.02.  May was down $0.35 at $18.51.  June was down $0.36 at $18.64.  July was down $0.29 at $19.03.  August through February contracts ranged from unchanged in January to sixteen cents lower in November.

Dry whey was down $0.02 at $0.4475.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0075 at $1.99.  Three sales were recorded from $1.9875 to $1.9925.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0075 at $1.9525.  No sales were recorded.

Butter was up $0.01 at $2.41.  Nine sales were recorded from $2.41 to $2.42.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.02 at $1.1675.  One sale was recorded at that price.
