'I did great': Trump slams Florida’s 'Ron DeSanctimonious' and Rick Scott during Palm Beach speech
Former President Donald Trump took shots at two Florida GOP leaders -- potential 2024 opponent, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and United States Senator Rick Scott -- during his speech before his supporters at a Palm Beach Presidents Day event, The Palm Beach Post reports.
Per The Palm Beach Post, the event took place in a Palm Beach Airport Hilton ballroom, and included a crowd of 300 members representing "Club 47," which was previously named "Club 45" as a nod to Trump's first presidential term.
Stephany Matat with The Palm Beach Post shared footage from the event, tweeting "For his reelection campaign, Club 45 is changing its name to Club 47," adding "Trump entered with loud applause from the members."

Much of the former president's speech was dedicated to highlighting the flaws of both DeSantis and Scott.
Trump received a thunderous applause when he blasted "Republican governors, 'which includes Florida,'" urging them to "demand paper ballots and voter identification."
Focusing on his potential 20204 rival, the former president referred to DeSantis as "Ron DeSanctimonious," which he has done before, saying "Ron did good in Florida, but I did great." The Palm Beach Post notes Trump was referencing "DeSantis' 2022 landslide re-election victory and the former president's own turnout in winning Florida's 29 electoral votes in the 2020 election."

Also noting Trump echoed many of DeSantis' talking points during his address, Palm Beach reports:
Trump said his policy agenda included removing programs and policies dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion advocated by President Joe Biden, cutting federal funding for "any school pushing left-wing gender theories" and protecting parental rights. Those are themes DeSantis has sounded as part of a so-called anti-woke agenda.
Additionally, as a blow to Scott's proposed 12-point "Rescue America" plan, Trump asserted "under no circumstances will we allow anyone to cut Medicare or Social Security for our nation."
After receiving major backlash from Democratic colleagues and President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address earlier this month, Scott recently announced changes to the controversial plan, noting it would no longer include cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
According to The Palm Beach Post, when Scott was asked whether he'd endorse the former president's 2024 campaign, Scott asserted his attention is solely "focused" on his senatorial campaign.
