Troy Board of Education Recognition

Thank you to the Troy Board of Education for recognizing my volunteer service at their February 7th meeting. Since the meeting was not televised, Troy School District Superintendent Dr. Richard Machesky was kind enough to send me a copy of his remarks:

The Troy School District is fortunate to have passionate volunteers who give of themselves and their talents to help our schools. Few have given more time and effort than the person we honor here tonight. Long after his own children graduated, Dave Lambert continues to be a robust supporter of the Troy School District, playing an integral part in several bond and sinking fund campaigns, even serving as one of the four steering committee captains for the successful 2013 bond. His knowledge of ballot campaign requirements and finance regulations were key to many successful efforts. Most recently, despite his busy volunteer schedule for many organizations and the City of Troy Planning Commission, Dave once again lent his leadership and expertise to the critical passage of the November 2022 bond initiative. As a district, we want to recognize Dave Lambert tonight, and to let him and the community know that we are grateful for the support, hard work and willingness to help our students and schools for several decades. Dave, your actions have been instrumental to the success of Troy Schools...
