CME milk higher, cash dairy steady to lower Wednesday

Milk futures were up and cash dairy prices were steady to lower except for blocks on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February Class III milk was up $0.04 at $17.81.  March was up $0.21 at $17.62.  April was up $0.18 at $18.01.  May was up $0.16 at $18.45.  June through December contracts ranged from six cents higher in September to eighteen cents higher in June.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.43.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0375 at $1.8725.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0150 at $1.57.  Ten sales were recorded from $1.5650 to $1.58.

Butter was unchanged at $2.3950.  One sale was recorded at $2.4050.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.2350.  No sales were recorded.
