Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is spinning a new conspiracy theory that suggests Democratic leaders and lawmakers may be preparing to self-sabotage their own party.

During a recent appearance on Fox News, the Texas senator weighed in with his perspective on President Joe Biden possibly running for re-election in 2024. If re-elected in 2024, Biden will be 86 by the time his second presidential term ends.

On Monday, February 6, the New York Times published a piece that highlighted remarks from prominent Democratic fundraiser John Morgan, who also noted the concerns of some Democrats.

“That will be in my opinion one of the most hard-hitting arguments against Biden,” said Morgan, a former Florida finance chairman for former President Bill Clinton who also raised funds for Biden. “It doesn’t take a genius to say, ‘Look, with his age, we have to really think about this.’”

The news outlet also reported some Democratic operatives are concerned that Vice President Kamala Harris "has not distinguished herself."

"I can’t think of one thing she’s done except stay out of the way and stand beside him at certain ceremonies," Morgan said.

Cruz on Monday insisted that some Democrats are so concerned they are willing to sabotage Biden Harris.

Weighing in on the report during "Jesse Watters Primetime," Cruz expounded on his theory.

“Listen, when Democrats want to kill each other, they have the New York Times on speed dial number one,” the senator said. “And what this article is, is every ambitious Democrat, they’re looking at Joe Biden – and I’m here to tell you Joe Biden’s not gonna run in ’24. I do not believe he will be the Democrat nominee in ’24.”

He continued, “I think all the ambitious Democrats are measuring the drapes,” Cruz continued. “And I think you’re looking at people like Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren and Gavin Newsom, who all see Kamala Harris in their way.”

“And so these knives are coming from every direction,” he concluded.

“Big prediction by the senator,” Watters said.
