Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Mild, mostly tranquil weather will prevail nearly nationwide during the first half of the week.  However, during the mid- to late-week period, a low-pressure system will form over the mid-South and drift northeastward, intensifying over the Midwest.  Most of the precipitation from that storm will be rain, or possibly rain changing to wet snow.  A second system may trail the first, potentially delivering late-week snow across the same areas, especially the Midwest.  Five-day precipitation totals could reach 1 to 3 inches or more in the mid-South and lower Midwest.  In contrast, little or no precipitation will fall from the West Coast to the High Plains, except in the Pacific Northwest and northern Rockies.
