Brownfield Ag Weather Today

For Friday, frigid air will trail a cold front crossing the mid-South and mid-Atlantic.  By early Saturday, sub-zero temperatures will cover much of New England and New York, with readings below -20°F expected in northern Maine.  Gusty winds will accompany the short-lived blast of Arctic air.  Meanwhile, any lingering rain in the Southeast will end later Friday.  Farther west, precipitation will arrive along the Pacific Coast.  During the weekend, generally light precipitation will overspread the West, with moderately heavy amounts expected in northern California and the Pacific Northwest.  Early next week, drought-easing precipitation may return across portions of the south-central U.S., but large sections of the nation’s midsection, including the Plains, will remain dry during the next 5 days.
