Happy Friday from Avalon and Brad, and welcome to another roundup of the week’s news about the judiciary. This week, we’re diving into the latest judicial nominations news, including which of Biden’s long-pending picks just got through the Senate Judiciary Committee. Meanwhile, another nominee, Spokane County Judge Charnelle Bjelkengren, is being criticized by Republicans for failing to answer what Articles II and V of the U.S. Constitutional are at her confirmation hearing last week. We asked former judges who went through the nominations process themselves what they thought of the blunder, and the resulting frenzy.
