With most (if not all) so-called “conspiracy theories” there is an important distinction that has to be made:
-an observation itself
-the potential implications of that observation and subsequent speculation that happens as a result of that observation
When it comes to the topic of whether or not viruses exist, the observation is:
[The no-virus people say that] they are not aware of any experiments in the past that isolate a virus that satisfy koch’s postulates. That’s it. That’s the observation.
They’re saying “hey wait a minute; we haven’t been able to find any such experiments. Does anyone know of any?”
That’s all they’re fundamentally saying.
Now, the potential implications of that and the speculation that comes as a result of that (ie terrain theory, water memory stuff, the idea that contagious diseases don’t exist in any form, the idea that the flu is detox, and any other such theories) are a separate issue.
Being able to keep those two things separate (1. an observation and 2. the potential implications/subsequent speculation that comes as a result of that observation) is what often turns out to be a challenge during conversations (on both sides, btw, because sometimes people only state the observation and others interpret more, and sometimes the “conspiracy theorists” do speculate beyond the observation).
I mean, the challenge is that, people are gonna assume (and demand) that you have alternative explanations for things, and that you prove those explanations, when the real reason you came to be a “conspiracy theorist” in the first place was because of some observation that went against the mainstream view of something, not from having an alternative explanation that would replace the mainstream view (let alone having proof of that explanation).
It’s even possible that viruses haven’t been proven to exist but that they do exist anyway.
