The 2023 Beacon Awards for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion has recognized Fidelity Investment’s in-house legal department, along with Boston’s first female, Asian-American mayor, Michelle Wu, for contributions to to a more diverse, equitable and inclusive legal profession.
According to a press release by the Boston Bar Association, Wu will be awarded with the Voice of Change Award, given to a leader in the legal community who has forged a new path and played an extensive role in advancing diversity and inclusion within the profession. The Beacon Awards took place January 19. The event recognizes individuals, organizations, and corporations for their diverse, equitable, and inclusive professional and community contributions. Past honorees include retired Goodwin Procter partner Paul Lee, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and former Suffolk County DA Ralph Martin.
