CME milk & cash dairy mostly lower Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mostly down Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February Class III milk was down $0.06 at $18.24.  March was down $0.01 at $17.99.  April was up $0.02 at $18.32.  May was down $0.02 at $18.64.  June through January contracts ranged from four cents lower in January to thirteen cents higher in September.

Dry whey was down $0.0050 at $0.3250.  Two sales were made at $0.3250 and $0.33.

Cheese prices continued to tumble, with blocks down $0.0950 at $1.8350.  One sale was recorded at $1.8350.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0550 at $1.58.  Five sales were recorded from $1.58 to $1.59.

Butter was unchanged at $2.3225.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.1750.  Five sales were recorded from $1.17 to $1.1750.
