CME milk and dairy prices down Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were all down Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

January Class III milk was down $0.06 at $19.46.  February was down $0.19 at $18.59.  March was down $0.11 at $18.29.  April was down $0.08 at $18.54.  May through December contracts ranged from unchanged in July and September to fifteen cents lower in October.

Dry whey was down $0.0225 at $0.3525.  Ten sales were made from $0.3325 to $0.3575.

Cheese blocks continued to tumble, down $0.0875 at $2.00.  Four sales were recorded from $1.99 to $2.00.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0175 at $1.7075.  Three sales were recorded from $1.7075 to $1.7250.

Butter was down $0.0050 at $2.4250.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0375 at $1.2550.  Three sales were recorded from $1.2450 to $1.2550.
