Fox News' Tucker Carlson is spinning a new, futile conspiracy theory about Sen. Lindsey Graham's (R-S.C.) personal life in an effort to come up with an explanation for his support of U.S. government efforts to aid Ukraine amid its ongoing war against Russia.

During his recent segment on "Tucker Carlson Tonight," the conservative talk show host reacted to a statement Graham made on Wednesday, December 21. According to Mediaite, the South Carolina lawmaker said he "supports strong measures to assist Ukraine and predicted the war will not end until 'somebody in Russia take[s] Putin out.'”

Graham made his remarks just hours before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appeared in a joint congressional session in Washington, D.C., where he addressed lawmakers -- an address that also garnered criticism from Carlson.

“So, the other day Lindsey Graham came out...” Carlson said as he took a long pause before adding, “the Republican from South Carolina, and said that he agreed with Joe Biden and Zelensky.”

Then the host aired the clip of Graham's Wednesday remarks.

“How does this war end?” Graham said. “When Russia breaks and they take Putin out. Anything short of that, the war’s gonna continue. To ask the Ukrainians to give Russia part of the country after all this death and destruction is not gonna happen. To signal a ceasefire, Russia will take the opportunity to rearm and come at them again. So, we’re in it to win it and the only way you’re gonna win it is to break the Russian military and have somebody in Russia take Putin out.”

Carlson, who described Graham's remarks as "crazy," claims Graham has a “real goal” that coincides with President Joe Biden's alleged agenda which is “regime change” in Russia.

“So, it’s really hard to overstate how crazy this is,” Carlson reacted. “And you don’t want to play shrink and wonder about, you know, what emptiness at the core of Lindsey Graham’s personal life causes him to identify so strongly with a country he’s not a citizen of. Something’s going on there.”

The host also echoed his previous concerns about the United States aiding Ukraine. According to Carlson, it is likely an effort that could lead to war between the U.S. and Russia.

“What happens then?” Carlson asked. “Well, the world’s largest land mass falls into ungovernable chaos.”

Carlson's latest claims about the Republican lawmaker follow a number of other speculative statements about him. During a previously segment of MSNBC’s "11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle," one guest questioned Graham's sexually by mocking him. The guest claimed, “He’s never seen a vagina! He’s never seen a naked woman!”

However, none of the claims have been proven to be true.
