'Hold on a second': Mike Lindell’s own attorney cuts him off during a broadcast

Although MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is facing defamation lawsuits from both Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, he continues to be a relentless promoter of debunked election conspiracy theories. And thanks to Elon Musk, Lindell is now able to do it on Twitter once again. Twitter, pre-Musk, suspended Lindell from the platform for posting false information. But Musk, who now owns Twitter, has restored Lindell’s account.

One of the duties of Lindell’s attorneys is to help prevent the MyPillow CEO from getting himself into even more trouble legally. And they may have done exactly that on Tuesday, December 20, when a Lindell attorney interrupted Lindell during a broadcast.

Lindell is facing defamation lawsuits from Dominion and Smartmatic after falsely accusing them of helping Democrats steal the 2020 election from President Donald Trump. And an attorney for Lindell seemingly feared possible legal repercussions from Election Systems & Software (ES&S), another company that specializes voting technology, when he started taking about them during a December 20 broadcast.

On his show “The Lindell Report,” broadcast on his own Lindell TV, the MyPillow CEO told co-host Brannon Howse, “By the way, everybody, do you know what Dominion has given in their discovery so far in their big lawsuits? Zero. Do you know what they are going to give, everybody? Zero. They contest everything.”

When Lindell starting talking about ES&S, he appeared to be getting a message from an attorney who was urging him not to say another word about that company. The attorney wasn’t actually on the air with him during the broadcast.

“I am going to have news tomorrow about ES&S, the other machine company in this country,” Lindell told Howse. “I am going to break a little breaking news here right now, Brannon. This will probably surprise a lot of people. And I don't know if you know about it. But do you know what I took a lot of my team, at least the cyber team and the IT people, do you know what county in the country I am having them focus on, for the next couple weeks?”

At that point, Lindell paused. And after the pause, he told Howse, “Just hold on a second, talk through it. I’m getting advice from my attorney here not to say anything.”
