[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I was at a lunch yesterday in Coal Drops Yard and came across a beauty shop called Blomma Beauty HERE which I’ve never seen before. It had some beautiful things, focusing on natural and organic products, and I found such a lovely candle in there from a brand called Bowe Organics. They also stock Moa, Odylique (whose lavender shampoo I’ll be reviewing soon), BAO skin care and Holistic London. It’s well worth dropping in if you pass. I bought one of the candles (below) and within thirty seconds my sister had bought it off me because she had a train to catch and needed a gift, and our friend dropped in straight after lunch and bought several. The absolute irony that I still don’t have one! I should have gone back but I’d run out of time.

They’re very beautifully scented – definitely quite wintery with myrrh, ylang ylang and lavender – but hopefully they’ll be back in seasonal iterations. Bowe Organics is HERE and they have limited stock, but it’s another option if you can’t find them at Blomm. Anyway, I was here to tell you about Verdant Alchemy and got terribly distracted.

I reviewed the Verdant Alchemy Ascent bath salts a while back – very lovely but also, very expensive. You almost can’t help but be over-generous with salts but I think I prefer my aromatherapy in a controllable oil that all over and done with in a couple of baths with salts. Ascent is the blend to bring you out of a slump – that inevitable low energy that happens when the evenings are dark and cold. It’s a blend of geranium, lavender and black pepper and is the sort of aroma that makes you draw in a deep breath and let out an even bigger sigh. I didn’t need a lot to get the benefit but they are quite pricy still at £42 HERE. The bottle is 100ml. A bag of 500g of bath salts is £45 and I honestly think that you’re better with a bag of Dr Teals and some drops of Ascent oil unless you’re bathing in a tea-cup. What a blissful bath that would be!
