Silvercrest Asset Management Inc. is moving its Milwaukee office to BMO Tower.

Downtown Milwaukee's newest office tower has landed a new tenant.

Silvercrest Asset Management Group Inc. is the latest company to announce plans to move to the 25-story BMO Tower, 790 N. Water St.

The firm, now at 825 N. Jefferson St., will lease 11,194 square feet on the 22nd floor. Anticipated occupancy is May 1, according to the Thursday announcement from Irgens Partners LLC, which developed BMO Tower.

Silvercrest, founded in 2002, is an employee-owned registered investment adviser with assets under management of over $27 billion.

The Milwaukee office specializes in growth equity strategies. Silvercrest also operates offices in New York, Boston, San Diego, Bedminster, New Jersey; Charlottesville, Virginia; and Richmond, Virginia.

“Silvercrest professionals deserve a high-end office environment that recognizes their talent and enhances the culture of our firm," said Rick Hough, Silvercrest chief executive officer.

"Our partners enjoy working together in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment to deliver the best possible advice to our clients," Hough said in a statement. "This played an integral part in Silvercrest’s choosing to locate at BMO Tower."

“We have found a common thread from many of the occupiers at BMO Tower that the combination of aesthetics, stature, views, technology and amenities have provided their ability to attract workforce and their experience has exceeded their expectations,” said Alyssa Geisler, Irgens vice president of portfolio leasing.

BMO Tower opened in 2020 with anchor tenants BMO Harris Bank and Michael Best & Friedrich. Other tenants include B.C. Ziegler & Co., Heartland Advisors, Kahler Slater and Andrus Intellectual Property Law LLP.

Also, a Kindbody fertility clinic is opening on the ground floor, at North Broadway and East Wells Street.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Dec. 5 the number of downtown workers who are coming into the office continues to slowly increase even as remote work keeps many workers at home.

Adam Leshowitz with CBRE’s New York City office and John Mazza and Nick Becker with CBRE’s Milwaukee office represented Silvercrest in the lease negotiations.
