San Angelo missing man's remains found in Junction, police suspect homicide

Police are investigating the death of a man who went missing from San Angelo in August, and was found dead in Kimble County, San Angelo police announced Tuesday.

Eric Talton, 31, went missing from San Angelo around Aug. 10, 2022. His whereabouts were unknown, and investigating police suspected "Talton’s disappearance appeared to be criminal in nature," according to a news release from San Angelo police.

Eight days later, the Kimble County Sheriff's Office received a report that a body had been found in Junction. The remains were suspected to be Talton, and have been tentatively identified as him through dental records and fingerprints.

Other circumstances surrounding his death were not immediately clear.

The San Angelo Police Department is investigating, and additional information will be released when it becomes available.
