Tom Green County Sheriff's Office makes arrest for possession of child pornography

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest of a 35-year-old man who was charged with possession of child pornography.

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, the Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant in the block of East 29th Street, according to a news release from the department.

Officials say Clifton Barry Martin Jr. was found to be in possession of "visual material depicting children, younger than 18 years of age, engaging in sexual conduct."

Clifton Martin Jr. was arrested and charged with the third-degree felony on Tuesday afternoon. He remains in jail as of Wednesday afternoon with no bond.

"The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the community for their help with our continued efforts to combat child exploitation," the release stated.
