Description

Are you someone who is passionate about nootropics or supplements and has a way with words? Would you get a kick out of sharing your experience and knowledge with other people?

Providing you can submit work that’s well-researched, well-written, and 100% accurate, I’d be enthusiastic to hear from you.

WHO WILL YOU BE WRITING FOR?
The name of the site you’ll be writing for is learnaboutsupplements.com. Please feel free to check it out.

Oh, and my name is Jay. I’m the editor over at LAS and the person you’ll be working with. It’s good to meet you!

WHAT IS LEARNABOUTSUPPLEMENTS.COM?

We are an online resource that is designed to help people wade through the murky information about supplements that is out there. Our primary focus right now is on Nootropics but with your help, we plan to expand to other types of supplements.

We love to read studies and are big fans of examine.com but for most people, these types of sites are boring and/or way over people's heads. We try to make this information more digestible and hopefully fun.

THE POSITION

I’m looking for writers who are capable of delivering at least two articles each and every week. There will be frequent opportunities for more work than this, but you will not be required to write more than two articles per month if you do not wish to.

You must, however, be able to commit to this content workload EVERY calendar month. From my end, I’ll guarantee this amount of work on an ongoing basis. Sound fair?

I’m really looking for good people with whom I can form a solid one-to-one long-term working relationship. No agencies please and thank you.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR

I’m looking for experienced writers who are:

  • Looking for regular work on an ongoing basis.
  • Native English speakers or individuals who are completely fluent in written English.
  • Highly detail-oriented and full of enthusiasm.
  • Able to write in a relaxed and entertaining way without sacrificing their authoritative tone. A “friendly expert”, in other words. A pinch of humor and wit is very desirable.
  • Happy to write long-form content, typically 1,000 to 3,000 words but sometimes longer, without resorting to fluff and filler.
  • Capable of performing in-depth, online research. (surveys and the like)
  • Ability to source links from highly-regarded sites will be required within your work in order to verify your facts for the reader. Equally, attribution will be necessary if citing someone else’s work.
  • Familiar with AP Style guidelines.
Willing to adhere to our comprehensive briefs, but also forthright enough to speak their mind if they feel things could be improved.
  • Open to constructive criticism and editorial feedback. This is a long-term position, so expect a bit of back and forth in the beginning as we get things right and iron out the general details. That being said, the briefs I’ll supply will be extremely detailed, so there shouldn’t be many issues.
  • Willing to accept payment via PayPal. These are the only methods of payment available.
  • Reliable and responsive.

Essentially, I’m looking for someone who thinks they will enjoy this type of work and are willing to work with me to create exceptional content to better help people online.

TYPES OF CONTENT REQUIRED

The content you will be required to write can largely be split into two categories:

Informational
Posts such as: “How To” guides, articles that answer specific questions, in-depth list posts on a particular topic, etc.

Each Informational article will Include the following:

1,000 – 2,000 words on a topic related to supplements
100 – 300 words for an email newsletter that will be used to promote the article
100-word blurb for promoting the article on Facebook
Twitter tweet for the post
50-word blurb to promote the post via FB Messenger

Here are a few example articles that exhibit the style and quality of writing that we are seeking for informational articles:

  • https://draxe.com/stem-cell-therapy/

Reviews and Buying Guides
As one would imagine, these will be either reviews of individual products or lists of the best products in a specific category. Buying guides will commonly form part of the article, but may sometimes be required as standalone pieces.

Each Informational article will Include the following:

1,000 – 2,000 words on a topic related to supplements
100 – 300 words for an email newsletter that will be used to promote the article

Here are a few example articles that exhibit the style and quality of writing that we are seeking for informational articles:

  • http://onlinestrength.com/ashwagandha-supplements/
  • https://www.healthambition.com/best-ashwagandha/

Learnaboutsupplements.com is looking to cover all aspects of nootropics, so if you have any expertise in health, nootropics, weight loss, strength training, or have any other relevant experience, please be sure to let me know when you fill out your application form.

Thanks for sticking with this to the end! I can’t wait to read through your application and, hopefully, start working with you soon.

Thanks for applying and good luck!
