Minnesota soybean harvest at 4%

The harvest of corn for grain is underway in Minnesota.

USDA’s weekly crop update says one percent is harvested, with 49 percent mature.

Corn for silage is 65 percent harvested, compared to the five-year average of 72 percent.

Soybeans coloring reached 93 percent, with 61 percent dropping leaves and four percent harvested.

Small grain harvest is winding down as the sugarbeet harvest nears 10 percent.
