Harvest picks up steam in Tennessee

Harvest progress continues in Tennessee.  Corn harvest is 27% complete, running behind the 5-year average.  Corn is 98% dented and 77% mature.

Soybeans harvest is 6% complete with 44% dropping leaves and 54% rated good to excellent.  Cotton is rated 53% good to excellent with 46% of bolls opening.  Just 1% of the crop is harvested.

Pastures are rated 60% good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 76% adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 79% adequate to surplus.
