Embossing with Stencils

Hi there! I just pop up to share a card created with a fun technique, embossing with stencils. I made this card for the Perfectly CAS Challenge – August 2022. The theme of this month is embossing and I decided to create a card using a new stencil from Diamond Press in combination with a fabulous Thinking of You stamp from Crackerbox Stamps.

I used white smooth cardstock to create the card base. Then, I used one of the stencils included on the Everyday Kit from Diamond Press, to emboss a strip of white smooth cardstock. I inked the one side of the stencil with a roller and placed it over the strip of white smooth cardstock. Then I embossed the entire piece, changing one of the plates with a rubber piece.

To finalize the card, I pasted the embossed strip over the card base and stamped a vertical sentiment Thinking of You from Crackerbox Stamps with VersaFine Sephia Ink.

Remember that the focus of the Perfectly CAS challenge is always that you use only 1/3 of the card. To know more about the Perfectly CAS Challenge and participate you can visit the main blog HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon with more inspiration!

  1. This is one of my favorite stencil techniques. Love this card! Great idea too with the vertical sentiment.
