Rain sets in Tuesday

Rain returns Friday night

PORTLAND, Oregon — The  start of Tuesday's rain has been pushed back a bit. Rain should begin in the Portland are around mid-day.

Rain will be heavier by the afternoon commute, with the valleys picking up between a quarter-inch and a half-inch of rain before it tapers off to scattered showers Wednesday.

Thursday brings dry weather, but the Memorial Day weekend begins with rain late Friday night. It slops over into Saturday morning, but the rain ends by Saturday night.

Snow will fall for a short time Saturday morning as low as 4,000 feet.

The rest of the weekend will be sunny and warmer, with highs near 80-degrees Monday.

Have a great Tuesday.
