Weather Whiplash awaits

Showers end Tuesday, 80s on the way
KGW Forecast: 5 p.m., Monday May 6, 2024

PORTLAND, Oregon — Showers have diminished over the valleys but haven't completely ended. It's a cool night, temperatures are headed for the low 40s, and Tuesday will be another cool day.

We’ve got another 24 hours of wet cool weather as showers come and go Tuesday, mixed with sunbreaks. There’s still a chance of a random thunderstorm across the region too.

The clear sky Tuesday night may allow temperatures to get cold enough Wednesday morning for areas of frost in the western lowlands. But temperatures warm to near 70-degees Wednesday under a clear sky.

The clear sky stays with us through Mother’s Day weekend. Temperatures peak Friday – near 90-degrees- and cool only slightly Saturday.

Mother’s Day brings more comfortable temperatures with highs around 80-degrees and plenty of sun.

Warm, dry weather continues next week.

Have a great Tuesday.
