Heavy showers today, hail & thunder

Advisory for Cascades snow continues

PORTLAND, Oregon — More showers today with cool valley high temperatures in the 50s.  Like Monday, hail and rumbles of thunder will be possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory continues today over the Cascades with sticking snow as low as 2,000 feet.  Pass level could see 4" or more of new snow while Timberline picks up an additional 6-8" or more on top of the foot plus that fell Monday.

May begins Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and dry daytime weather with valley highs warming into the 60s.  A change in forecast timing, shows a return to rain showers Wednesday evening and likely rain Wednesday overnight.  Most of the rain could be over by Thursday morning.

A further change shows mostly dry weather Thursday through Friday morning, followed by Friday afternoon showers.  Rain at times is in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday, although Sunday may be the drier of the two days.
