Sunny and warmer today & Friday

Saturday afternoon showers still expected

PORTLAND, Oregon — More clear skies today.  Early temps are generally warmer than 24 hours ago, but spotty frost continues to be possible.   Afternoon temperatures will warm to 70 degrees.  East winds will begin blowing out of the gorge and continue to strengthen Friday with gusts near 35 mph on the east side.  Friday will be the warmest day of the week, with valley highs in the low 70s as sunshine continues.

On Saturday, a weak weather system approaches the coast.  The chance of rain in the forecast for the valley Saturday afternoon is looking increasingly likely.  Showers continue Saturday night and scattered showers may continue Sunday with a mix of sun breaks.

After a dry Monday, a chance of showers returns Tuesday afternoon.
