Down day for milk futures and cash dairy Tuesday

July Class III milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed 8 cents lower at $22.66.  August down 44 at $21.26.  September down 42 at $21.66.  October through December contracts 18 to 29 cents lower.

Dry whey down $0.03 at $0.47.  Two trades were made at $0.47 and $0.4750.

Blocks unchanged at $2.11.  Three trades at that price.

Barrels down $0.0025 at $2.17.  Three trades made, ranging from $2.17 to $2.1725.

Butter down $0.0350 at $2.9650.  Thirteen trades were made, with a range of $2.9425 to $2.99.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0050 at $1.7250.  Three trades, ranging $1.7250 to $1.73.
