Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A disturbance over the northern Gulf of Mexico should drift toward the west-southwest over the next few days.  Regardless of development, heavy rain (locally 2 to 4 inches or more) could spread inland across coastal sections of Texas and Louisiana.  Meanwhile, a cold front should spark scattered Southeastern showers, which may linger for much of the week.  Farther north, Midwestern heat will briefly return around the middle of the week, with most areas topping 90°F—and some western Corn Belt locations reaching 95°F or higher.  Midwestern shower activity will increase during the second half of the week, although 5-day rainfall totals will remain mostly below an inch.  Elsewhere, monsoon-related showers will continue in the Four Corners States, while dry weather will prevail during the next 5 days from the Pacific Coast to the northern High Plains.
