Family Day at The Underline takes place every third Saturday of the month from 2-4 p.m. and is free and open to the public but registration is required!
The next big event is the Hammock Trail Community Block Party to celebrate the opening of the new trail taking place Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1523 SW 1 Ave., Miami
Here is the schedule for May 4:
- Build Little Libraries with our friends at Radical Partners, supported by the Dunspaugh-Dalton Foundation
- Groove to music by DJ Dre Vendetta and performances by All Skates go to Heaven and School of Rock
- Food from local favorites along the Hammock Trail including Casolas, Cure Cafe, and El Carajo
- DoorDash gift card giveaways (while supplies last)
- Raffles and other giveaways including a bike donated by Mack Cycle Mark
Here are general directions on ways to get to the new trail:
Walk or bike (bike racks are located at The Hammock Playground) to The Hammock Playground Plaza located on SW 1st Avenue after the crossing of SW 15th Road. There is a bike path located along SW 1st Avenue.
If you drive, use the metered spaces on SW 1st Avenue after crossing SW 15 Road or the nearby parking garages after crossing SW 15 Road and heading south on SW 1st Avenue.
Directions for Fun Days every third Saturday of the month. Getting there:
• Take the Metrorail to Brickell Metrorail Station, exit North and walk to the Urban Gym, located right after crossing SW 8th street. The Urban Gym is on SW 1st Ave between SW 8th and SW 7th streets.
• Walk or bike (bike trail on The Underline as SW 1st Avenue and SW 1st Street) to the Urban Gym, located right after the crossing to 8th street. The Urban Gym is on SW 1st Ave between SW 8th and SW 7th streets.
• If you drive, please use nearby public parking lots at Brickell City Centre and Mary Brickell Village. Then walk the Urban Gym on SW 1st Ave between SW 8th and SW 7th streets.
