Australian frequent flyer points and miles website is looking to hire content writers to help us scale our content production.
This is a remote freelance position, so you choose your working location (we will need to be able to reach you during Australian business hours).
We are looking for writers who can contribute 3 or more articles (1,000 - 2,500 words each) on a weekly basis.
Assignments will cover articles/guides/reviews across the following topics:
- Airline and hotel loyalty program guides
- Writing up an airline and other travel industry press releases in an engaging way ('finding the angle')
- Travel rewards credit card content
- Qantas Frequent Flyer related content (as this is for an Australian audience
To apply, you'll need to satisfy the following criteria:
In-depth knowledge of travel/points niche: You must have demonstrated experience writing for an aviation, points/miles or travel hacking publication for an English audience. An understanding of the Australian points niche is desirable, but not essential.
User/friendly writing style: You'll have the ability to explain complex points and miles topics in an understandable and approachable way, with the ability to include examples relevant to our audience.
Research and fact-checking mentality: You're experienced in researching and writing authoritative, fact-checked articles.
Good understanding of SEO: You hold solid knowledge of the fundamentals of SEO and can write engaging content that is SEO-focused. You may have familiarity with keyword research and content optimisation tools such as KeySearch, Clearscope and/or Surfer SEO
Availability: You must be able to contribute 3 or more articles (1,000 - 2,500 words each) on a weekly basis. Please apply only if you can meet this minimum quota.
