Travers boosts partner benefits with sabbatical scheme revamp

Travers Smith has revamped its sabbatical policy, significantly boosting the amount of leave its partners can take. The City firm has increased the amount of paid leave partners can take to 17 weeks, with lawyers permitted to take up to four separate breaks throughout their career.Lawyers will be eligible for the full amount of leave after holding partnership for at least eight years, with the scheme open to all partners, including non-equity. Previously, the sabbatical benefits were only available to partners with at least 10 years' service, and covered up to 13 weeks leave.
