Gresham mother, two young children found dead in apparent murder-suicide

Police said 31-year-old Ashley Palmer and her two children, ages 6 and 8, were found dead of gunshot wounds inside an apartment.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A suspicious death investigation in Gresham was determined to be a murder-suicide, Gresham police announced Wednesday. 

Police said 31-year-old Ashley Palmer and her two children, ages 6 and 8, were found dead of gunshot wounds inside an apartment.

Gresham police said officers initially responded to the Rockwood Village apartment complex at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday for a welfare check .

Police did not release any further information.
