January ethanol exports up 5% on month

U.S. ethanol exports ticked higher from December to January.

The Renewable Fuels Association says shipments of 123.8 million gallons were up 5% on the month, but down 25% from the record volume in January 2021.

Canada was the leading destination for the tenth month in a row, followed by India and Mexico.

Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 1.09 million tons, an increase of 16% on the month, the biggest volume for the month of January on record.

Mexico was the top recipient, with South Korea and Canada rounding out the top three.

Denatured ethanol imports in January were 10.5 million gallons, all from Brazil.
